Facing Economic Uncertainty

Unless you have been on another planet, you are well aware of the slow economy and rising prices. Many Americans have lost their homes and jobs webassets/pastorblog.jpgto a faltering economy. Businesses across the country are dealing with declining sales, while churches are reporting a drop in tithes and offerings. Blame is being put on the President, the war, and the on-going oil price hike. Various solutions are being put forth by politicians hoping to be elected, and by economists who seem somewhat lost themselves. Still many are asking what do we do?

As Christians we should always turn to the word of God. Economic hard times are not new. In Genesis chapter 26, the Bible tells us that Isaac sowed in a time a famine or depression and received in the same year an hundredfold return. The law of sowing and reaping is a spiritual principle that we must continue to apply even when times are tough. Never stop praying, because God is an ever present help in a time of trouble, and He knows what we have need of before we ask. Lastly, "keep the faith!" Remember, we walk by faith and not by sight.
